Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus availableOpportunity:/nMRI Tech - MRI Tech/n/nJob Details:/n• Work 3x12 hour weekday shifts/n• Perform technical MRI assignments using complex skill, judgment and knowledge of Magnetic Resonance Imaging principles/n• Operate MRI equipment, coils and related equipment with accuracy/n• Evaluate image quality and demonstrate accuracy of MRI positioning and coil selection/n• Provide care to patients of all ages: infant, pediatric, adult and geriatric/n• Utilize RIS system to enter and edit patient demographics and charges/n• Demonstrate competency with PACS for image processing, image review, and protocol selection/n• Ensure proper magnet safety protocols for self, patients and personnel/n• Administer contrast media following prescribed techniques and recognize emergency situations/n• Maintain mandatory 12 CEC hours per year in Radiologic Technology/n• NYS License required/n• Certification as radiologic, nuclear medicine or ultrasound technologist required/n• BLS certification through AHA or RQI required/n• A.A.S. degree in Radiologic Technology required/n• AMA approved 2-year Radiology Technology program completion required/n• Previous experience in diagnostic radiology required/n• Experience with Siemens MRI machines preferred/n• Formal MRI-specific training preferred/n• 1-2 years experience in related radiology fields with MRI experience preferred/n/nFacility:/nThis healthcare facility is a comprehensive hospital providing advanced diagnostic imaging services to the community.
