This role will primarily own native iOS and Android mobile test automation, including framework development, mobile regression coverage, device-cloud execution, CI/CD integration, and mobile quality reporting. The engineer will validate key Smart Mobility workflows across mobile applications, backend services, cloud services, and downstream transaction systems.\n\n Essential Duties and Responsibilities\nInclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.\n\nDesign, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for native Android and iOS applications.\nBuild reusable automation components, utilities, reporting, test data handling, and execution standards.\nAutomate sanity, functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end mobile test scenarios.\nPerform testing across real devices, emulators/simulators, OS versions, and cloud device platforms.\nAnalyze automation failures, troubleshoot flaky tests, and continuously improve framework reliability.\nEnsure mobile apps meet expectations for functionality, usability, reliability, security, and performance.\nCoordinate with DevOps engineers to integrate mobile smoke, regression, and end-to-end automation suites into CI/CD pipelines.\nParticipate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, requirements reviews, and design discussions to identify mobile quality risks early.\nSupport shift-left testing, automation-first delivery, and Test-Driven Development practices.\nCreate dashboards, automation execution reports, and mobile quality metrics for release readiness.\nTrack mobile automation coverage, pass/fail trends, flaky tests, defect leakage, and release risks.\nSupport defect triage, bug fix validation, targeted regression testing, and release sign-off activities.\n\nRequirements and Qualifications\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.\n\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field required.\n8-12 years of QA experience, with strong automation engineering background.\n5+ years of hands-on mobile testing experience across iOS and Android.\nStrong experience building and maintaining mobile automation frameworks from scratch.\nHands-on experience with mobile automation tools such as Appium, Espresso, XCUITest, Maestro, or similar tools.\nExperience testing native, hybrid, and mobile web applications.\nExperience with device cloud platforms such as BrowserStack, SauceLabs, LambdaTest, or similar.\nProgramming experience in Java, Kotlin, Swift, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or C#.\nStrong knowledge of Git, CI/CD, Agile/Scrum practices, debugging, troubleshooting, and automation best practices.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nExperience with Playwright test automation for Web UI and API testing.\nExperience testing tolling, transportation, SaaS, payment, or transaction-based systems.\nExperience with performance tools such as JMeter, k6, Gatling, Locust, or similar.\nExposure to observability, logs, metrics, tracing, crash analytics, mobile performance monitoring, security, and application resiliency.\nExperience using approved AI-assisted engineering tools responsibly for test acceleration, troubleshooting, and automation productivity.\n\n*Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.*\n\nPhysical Demands/Work Environment\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
