This position is also responsible for maintaining a clean, safe working environment at all times.Essential FunctionsCheck and maintain press lubrication levels as requiredLoad and unload aluminum to presses as requiredOperate press controls for coil changes and production runsPerform frequent dimensional and visual checks during production run and document gauging as required by QA Manager and customer specificationsConfer with quality control personnel regarding acceptability of raw parts during production runs. Ensure good parts are produced, and quarantine or scrap parts that do not meet standards or specificationsOperate the scrap unit in a safe mannerMaintain a clean work areaUse of pallet jack to pull product to the WarehouseUse a forklift to take scrap to the warehouse or load metal on the decoilerComplete and enter all daily production paperwork accuratelyOther duties as directedQualificationsAbility to perform basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division are requiredAbility to read and interpret written instructionsAbility to work & multi-task in a fast-paced environmentWear prescribed safety equipment always (safety boots, eye and ear protection)Ability to be able to work in greasy/oily environmentsAbility to work independently with little supervision and make good judgment callsAbility to lift / push / pull up to 50 poundsAbility to operate a forkliftAbility to accurately use measuring tools and hand toolsAbility to work overtime as needed, sometimes on a short noticeAbility to maintain accurate inventory, quality and production recordsAbility to maintain good attendance
