You will also serve as the Company's qualifying agent for low-voltage contracting activities as approved by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (\\\"DBPR\\\"). This role is responsible for deploying and maintaining the physical infrastructure that supports data, voice, and network communications in commercial, residential, and mixed-use environments. This role ensures that cabling systems meet industry standards and are ready for network activation.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS This role will also be responsible for sales and new contracts related to structured cabling.\nInstall, pull, sort, and terminate copper (Cat 5e, Cat 6) and fiber optic cables, including RJ45, RJ11, coaxial, and optical connectors (ST, SC, LC).\nInstall and configure telecommunications equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls, and servers.\nUse field test equipment (e.g., Fluke cable testers, OTDR) to verify cable integrity and resolve connectivity issues.\nLabel and route cables, record configuration diagrams, and maintain network documentation.\nFollow BICSI, OSHA, and local building codes for safety and performance.\nWork with project leads, other technicians, and contractors to meet schedules and quality standards.\nInstallation of low-voltage cabling systems including all aspects of the installation process: Ability to complete basic wiring diagrams and installation instructions.\nAbility to terminate common types of fiber optic fittings (SC, ST, LC, etc.) efficiently and to industry, manufacturer, and company standards.\nAbility to efficiently terminate copper cabling to industry and manufacturer standards.\nAbility to test different categories of copper media (Category 5e, Category 6 etc.).\n\nMaintain satisfactory compliance with customer security requirements.\nPathway planning and installation.\nEnd-to-end structured cabling systems.\nData, voice and telecommunications solutions.\nFiber optic splicing, terminations and testing.\nOther duties as required or requested.\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Does this job have supervisory responsibilities for staff?\nMINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND ABILITIES 1 to 5 years data cabling experience.\nBICSI Certificates – Install I or Installer II (preferred).\nWillingness to learn and develop a mastery of installation practices and methods.\nAbility to work from heights such as man lifts, scissor lifts & roof tops utilizing proper fall protection.\nMaintain a neat and orderly worksite and a professional appearance and demeanor.\nExcellent attention to detail and the ability to receive and interpret complex directions.\nThe ability to execute work deliverables independently as well as collaboration with team members as needed.\nExcellent communication and language skills with the ability to write clearly and concisely.\nAbility to work collaboratively with stakeholders and establish a positive rapport, internally and externally.\nFollow safe work practices adhering to client work site policies.\nUnderstands, adheres to, and promotes the Environmental, Health & Safety policies of Form 10 Group.\nAttend classes and training sessions, as requested, to obtain and maintain relevant certifications.\nTRAVEL REQUIREMENTS Travel to customer sites as needed.\nCERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS A valid and unrestricted driver's license, at time of employment, is required.\nMaintain an active, unrestricted, and valid Florida Low Voltage Contractor License (Limited Energy Specialty Contractor or other approved low-voltage classification recognized by DBPR) throughout your employment.\nServe as Form 10 Group's qualifying agent and to cooperate with all reasonable requirements necessary for the Company to operate under the authority of your license.\nTimely execute and maintain all documents required by DBPR or any applicable governmental authority to permit Form 10 Group to perform work under your license.\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS Ability to lift up to 80 lbs., climb ladders, and work in all weather conditions.\nAbility to walk, stand, bend, lift up to 50 lbs., and drive a vehicle.\nWORK ENVIRONMENT Ability to use power tools.\nClimbing stairs and ladders.\nExposure to noisy conditions.\nThis position has a rate of $28-32 hourly and there's a potential for a bonus opportunity.\nForm 10 Group, Inc., is a Service Disabled, Veteran Owned, Small Business (SDVOSB).
