Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned to meet the changing needs of contract performance.\r\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\r\nMonitors mission computer systems responds immediately to malfunctions, and keeps users informed of real-time equipment status.\r\nUses diagnostic routines to identify root causes of system malfunctions.\r\nUtilizes computer outputs to assess system status and troubleshoot errors.\r\nUtilizes maintenance laptop to diagnose malfunctions.\r\nAnalyzes system data and provides recommendations to resolve assigned computer system degradation and failures.\r\nFollows all communications, operational and physical security requirements for the generation, handling, marking, controlling, protecting, and disposition of classified material and information.\r\nMaintains records, logs, files, and prepares reports.\r\nControls government assets.\r\nMentor members of the CMOC and operations staff in associated computer technologies.\r\nDevelop and implement backup strategies and system restoration procedures.\r\nAdd, remove, and maintain user accounts.\r\nDevelop and maintain checklists to be used by site computer technicians.\r\nPerforms mission system software installations and upgrades.\r\nMaintain system configuration with respect to UEWR applications: Mission Application Software (MAS), Signal Processing Software (SPS), Receiver-Exciter Software (RES) and Data Reduction.\r\nMonitor disk storage capacities and maintain adequate disk storage availability for all users and applications.\r\nImplement security procedures and monitor system usage.\r\nAssist the site Cyber Security Liaison in reviewing system security information and maintain relevant security accountability logs and records.\r\nAcknowledge and resolve problems with RAID file system.\r\nPerforms other duties as required.\r\nEducational/Training Requirements\r\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology (Masters preferred) and 6 years' experience\r\n2-3 years' experience as a System Administrator using Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)\r\nInformation Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II requirements (Security+ CE minimum)\r\nRequired Skills/Experience\r\nLocal Area Network (LAN) and Cisco switch administration\r\nSilicon Graphics (SGI) UV 2000 administration\r\nSGI UV System Management Node (SMN) administration\r\nSGI Infinite Storage IS5000 RAID administration\r\nProtogate Freeway communication servers\r\nXLi SAASM Time & Frequency GPS Receivers & IOLan Terminal Servers\r\nNetwork File Server (NFS) architecture and administration\r\nLANs, WANs, TCP/IP, SNMP and networking with emphasis on Cisco Catalyst switches\r\nSoftware licensing, C++, software build processes, Perl, Python, or shell scripting\r\nPhased Array Radar principles\r\nComputing center environment. May work extended hours or weekends. May travel overnight or on weekends. Support the system via \"on call\" when outside of normal working hours.\r\nPhysical Demands\r\nExerts limited physical energy. Must be able to correctly lift 50 Lbs.\r\nMust be able to travel.\r\nClearance Requirements\r\nCurrently hold or be able to obtain and maintain the proper US DoD issued security clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
