Underground Utility Pipelayer

Position OverviewSoutheastern Site Development, Inc. is hiring experienced Underground Utility Pipelayers for infrastructure and roadway projects located throughout the South Metro District of Georgia. Our crews install storm drainage, sanitary sewer, and water main systems on heavy civil and municipal construction projects.Projects include roadway construction, DOT infrastructure work, site development, and municipal utility installation.This is a great opportunity for dependable workers who have experience in underground utilities, trench work, and heavy civil construction and want consistent work with a growing company.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall storm drain, sanitary sewer, water main, and drainage pipe systemsSet up pipe laser and shoot grade with transitLay pipe to proper alignment and elevation per project specificationsInstall manholes, inlets, junction boxes, and related structuresPerform backfill and compaction operationsCut, and join pipe sections as requiredWork safely in and around trenches in compliance with OSHA standardsAssist with site cleanup and maintain organized work areasFollow directions from supervisors and adhere to all safety protocolsRequired QualificationsExperience installing underground utility pipe in a heavy civil environmentAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and grade stakesKnowledge of trench safety and excavation standardsAbility to safely work around existing utilitiesAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditionsAbility to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding workStrong attention to safety and detailPreferred QualificationsExperience with large-diameter pipe installationFamiliarity with laser levels and grade control systemsExperience on DOT or municipal projectsBenefitsHealth, Dental, and Vision InsuranceShort-Term and Long-Term Disability InsuranceLife Insurance, Accident, and Critical Illness CoverageEmployer-paid $20,000 Life Insurance Policy401(k) with Employer MatchOvertime opportunitiesCompany OverviewCompetitive pay based on experienceSoutheastern Site Development, Inc. is a leading heavy civil construction company operating throughout Georgia.
