As a Cloud Software Engineer, you will be responsible for coding, debugging, testing, and collaborating with senior engineers to ensure scalability, reliability, and security of cloud-based systems. Strong programming skills, familiarity with cloud technologies, and a willingness to learn are a must.\nDesired Skills:\nExperience with Java programming for distributed systems\nExperience with OpenSource (NoSQL) products\nExperience with Map/Reduce, Hadoop (HDFS), Hive, Pig, JavaScript\nExperience with Big-Data Cloud Scalability\nExperience designing and developing automated analytic software, techniques, and algorithms, compute cluster monitoring tools\nExperience with Accumulo internals, to include configuring, tuning, and testing Accumulo in many configurations (>200 node clusters)\nExperience in networking and multi-threading\nAgile development experience\nLinux fundamentals and knowledge\nFamiliarity with source code management practices and tools\nExperience with enabling tools: Git, Maven, Jira\nExperience with CI/CD testing: Bamboo, Jenkins, GitLab, CI/Pipelines\nExperience with continuous monitoring: ELK Stack (ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana)\nFamiliarity with microservices software development techniques and container-orchestration (Kubernetes)\nRequirements:\nMust be a U.S. citizen.\nMust hold an active clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph\nBachelor’s degree in a computer science related field is required\n0-2 years of experience\nHadoop or Cloud certification is required\n\nPhysical Requirements:\n\nThis position involves sedentary work with physical requirements expected for at least 50% of the time.
