Pay: $41,600 - $52,000 a year Job Description: This is a Rate Analyst position located right off the Medical Lake exit near the Petro. Easy access right off the freeway, minutes from Downtown Spokane. The primary function of the Rate Analyst is to accurately and efficiently create, update, and maintain rating tables, including fuel surcharge tables and mileage vendor buckets, for Trans-System, Inc within rating software to support the billing of customer loads. Provide support for Credit and Billing on rate disputes and issues with customers. Duties include, but are not limited to: * Create and maintain rate tables to support published rates for Trans-System, Inc customers across the three companies. Verify rates are pulling as expected once published. * Create and maintain fuel surcharge tables, which includes some customer specific details, on a weekly basis and verify rates are pulling correctly in billing and operations system. * Create and maintain mileage vendor buckets based on specific customer requirements. Analyze and review current mileage buckets for accuracy. Continuously work towards standardization of mileage buckets across all customers. * Create and maintain commodity codes as required. * Proactively work with Billing and Credit departments to ensure accurate rating of customer loads for invoicing. Review and correct errors within rating tables as identified by Billing or Credit department. * Perform routine audits of rate tariffs, fuel tables, etc. to ensure accuracy and adherence with currently published rate tables and customer expectations and requirements. * Interface with key stakeholders to continuously improve the rating process within the rating software. Be the key driver for process improvements for rating. * Work with billing, operations, and sales on solutions to dedicated fleet billing. * Provide support to billing, credit, accounting, customer service, operations, sales and others around any rating issues that may arise. * Participate in special rating projects as assigned. * Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Education/Experience: To perform this job successfully, it is preferred an individual have: * High School Diploma - Some college preferred. * Transportation experience preferred - preferably in Accounts Receivable.Applicants are accepted on an ongoing basis.
