We are seeking a Hardware Design Engineer to join our talented design team. In this role, you will play a critical part in the research, design, development, and testing of high-performance server motherboards and related products. You will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams and external partners to deliver robust, competitive, and high-quality board designs.\n\nThe ideal candidate is self-motivated, results-driven, and passionate about developing best-in-class server products with outstanding performance and reliability.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nResponsible for schematic capture, PCB layout review, BOM generation, debugging, and testing of server motherboards, backplanes, and add-on cards\nModify and enhance existing designs to improve performance, quality, and reliability of server products\nExecute Design Verification Testing (DVT) using oscilloscopes and other lab equipment\nCollaborate with BIOS, firmware, validation, and cross-functional teams to identify and resolve design and quality issues at an early stage\nEnsure products meet engineering specifications, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations\nCreate comprehensive technical documentation, including product specifications, layout guidelines, test procedures, and manufacturing handoff materials\nSupport smooth product transfer to manufacturing, provide strong technical support to contract manufacturers and production teams during sample and mass production stages\nOffer technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers within the team\nPerform other duties as assigned\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering; Master’s degree is a plus\n5+ years of hands-on experience in hardware design, with a strong focus on x86 server motherboards\nIn-depth knowledge of digital, analog, and power circuit design, high-speed PCB layout, and signal integrity\nSolid understanding of Intel architecture, Windows, and Linux operating systems\nProven experience with oscilloscopes and standard laboratory test equipment\nStrong problem-solving and debugging skills for complex hardware issues\nExcellent communication (written and verbal), organizational, and interpersonal skills\nDemonstrated ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment\nSelf-motivated team player who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic setting\nExperience with Linux shell scripting and automated testing is a plus\nSalary Range\n$148,000 - $165,000\nThe salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role.
