External applicants must be eligible to work in the US.\n\nYour Role:\nEMD Electronics is immediately hiring for an Operations Technician in Tempe, AZ. This is a rewarding job opportunity for people who want to join a growing business. The Operations Technician is responsible for operating the manufacturing equipment in a safe, high quality and productive manner. This person proactively completes assigned plant routines and other duties as required by site specific requirements.\nDuties for the Operations Technician include:\nPerforming manufacturing, packaging, and testing of products and various manufacturing systems throughout\nthe facility\nMaintaining safe working conditions and practices to achieve safety objectives\nMaintain required safety documentation\nAttending all mandatory site-specific training and meetings\nPerforming work duties in accordance with Quality Systems Manual procedures, safety policies and site-specific requirements.\nConsistently demonstrating skills to operate all equipment used in the department in a safe manner\nUnderstanding each manufacturing process and being able to identify and report any deviations to the lead/manager in a timely manner\nUtilizing automated programs and computer systems to help drive consistent and reliable manufacturing, packaging and testing\nInspecting all work areas on a continuous basis for any mechanical problems, safety hazards and unusual operating conditions\nKeeping work and supply areas in a safe, clean and orderly condition at all times\nCoordinating activities in production with other facility groups to ensure minimal impact to the production continuity\nCollecting in process and finished product samples\nPerforming basic troubleshooting on equipment and making minor repairs or adjustments, as necessary\nSubmitting work orders to the maintenance planning system\nAssisting with training and development of new employees\nAssisting in generating and revising SOPs, as necessary\nContributing to continuous improvement in safety, quality and manufacturing efficiencies\nMonitoring and replenishing in-process inventories of consumables/raw materials\nAssisting in shipping/receiving activities as directed\nOther duties as assigned\nTravel up to 5%\nPhysical Attributes:\nLift, push, and or pull up to 50lbs\nBend, stoop, squat, crawl, kneel, climb, and or reach above shoulder\nWear personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, gloves, masks, and or steel toed safety shoes, as needed\nLocation: Onsite on a rotating shift to include day and night shifts in Tempe, AZ\n\nWho You Are:\nMinimum Qualifications:\nHigh School Diploma or GED\n1 year of experience working in a manufacturing environment\n1 year of forklift operating experience\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience in a manufacturing and chemical environment\nBasic experience with computers software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook\nCareer experience in semiconductor industry\nForklift experience\nExperience with automated systems\nRSREMD\n\nWhat we offer: We are curious minds that come from a broad range of backgrounds, perspectives, and life experiences.
