Years of tightly coupled stored-procedure code sit inside the FACETS database, and we want to prove that eligible workloads can be safely moved onto AWS-native patterns. As the hands-on Senior Data Engineer, you’ll build that proof of concept under the guidance of an Architect already on the engagement, working alongside the client’s in-house FACETS engineers.What You’ll DoBuild a proof of concept that moves selected FACETS stored-procedure workloads onto AWS-native data and integration patterns, using services such as S3, SQS, Step Functions, Lambda, and Fargate.Analyze existing FACETS data flows and stored-procedure dependencies to decide which workloads can be safely decoupled.Prove that data quality, reconciliation, traceability, and transaction integrity hold after the move.Create source-to-target mappings and reconciliation checks that compare old and new outputs.Apply containerization and DevOps practices (for example Docker, ECS/Fargate, CI/CD) to the target-state design.Document the approach and results as reusable patterns that can be applied to other FACETS workloads.Required QualificationsSenior-level data engineering experience with strong SQL, including stored procedures (T-SQL or similar).Hands-on experience with FACETS data: working with backend tables and the data model, and writing queries against them. This is a data-focused role, so configuration-only FACETS experience isn’t sufficient.Working experience with AWS data and serverless services (such as S3, Lambda, SQS, Step Functions, Fargate or ECS).Experience with DevOps or containerization practices.Experience with source-to-target mapping, data quality, and reconciliation on migration or modernization work.Preferred QualificationsExperience with Membership & Enrollment or other healthcare payer data.Hands-on experience modernizing SQL or stored-procedure workloads onto AWS.Legacy dependency analysis and observability experience on modernization projects.Data modeling experience.Infrastructure-as-code experience (for example Terraform or CloudFormation).Prior proof-of-concept experience.Disclaimer: Brooksource, Medasource, and Calculated Hire are part of the Eight Eleven Group family of companies and operate under Eight Eleven Group, LLC.
