This role involves collaborating with various departments to enhance process flow and working closely withMaintenance and Production teams to ensure reliability and maximize process uptime. Additionally, the Process Engineer will supportand design automation and control systems to optimize plant operations.\nRequired Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering or related.\nFluent in English.\nPreferred Skills/Qualifications: Fluent in Spanish.\nExperience with casting or extrusion metallurgy.\nStrong mathematical skills, particularly in process and manufacturing statistics.\nExperience with fabrication and or industrial painting.\nJob Responsibilities: Lead the implementation, sponsorship, and ongoing support of continuous reliability improvement standards and practices across all processes.\nApply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to identify and drive improvements aimed at reducing waste and variation in operations.\nOversee projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budgetary requirements.\nIdentify ergonomic risks and actively engage in efforts to reduce them, enhancing workplace safety and productivity.\nConduct system checks to verify that processes and designs are functioning as intended and in compliance with established specifications.\nAnalyze operational data to optimize methods and ensure the ongoing effectiveness of systems.\nDrive the capture, documentation, and standardization of best practices across shifts, focusing on consistent training and performance optimization.\nEnsure safe handling and use of chemicals, maintaining a strong understanding of safety protocols.\nCoordinate the 5S workplace efficiency program as a foundational element of lean practices.\nDevelop and present business cases to address and reduce process variation and waste.\nCare, Courage, & Collaboration\nAt Hydro We care about our People!\nWe care about Safety!\nHydro in North America is an Equal Opportunity Employer where all phases of employment are based strictly upon the qualifications of the individual as related to the work requirements of the position.
