With manufacturing facilities located throughout West Tennessee and North Mississippi, we specialize in asphalt production and construction projects ranging from commercial projects to miles of interstate highway paving throughout the Mid-South.General SummaryPerforms any combination of following tasks, such as erecting, repairing, and wrecking ; installing waterworks, locks and dams; grading.Essential Job AccountabilitiesDigs, spreads, and levels dirt and gravel, using pick and shovel.Lifts, carries, and holds materials, tools, and supplies.Cleans tools, equipment, materials, and work areas.Mixes, pours, and spreads concrete, asphalt, gravel, and other materials, using handtools.Joins, wraps, and seals sections of pipe.Performs a variety of routine, non-machine tasks, such as removing forms from set concrete, filling expansion joints with asphalt, and placing culvert sections in trench.EducationHigh School Diploma, GED or equivalent years of experienceWork ExperienceOn the job training required.Knowledge, Skills And AbilitiesWorkers should be able to:Follow specific directionsPerform a variety of duties which may often change; work within standards of accuracyRepeat tasks of short duration according to a set procedureEvaluate information using measurable standards.Physically, Workers Must Be Able ToStand or walk for long periodsUse arms and hands to reach for, handle, and manipulate objectsLift and carry materials weighing 50 to 100 poundsClimb up and down ladders, scaffolds, and other objects and carry tools and equipmentStoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl, and see (naturally or with correction).
