Director of Sales, C-Store/Impulse ChannelsThe Pickle Juice Company is looking for an experienced and motivated Sales professional to create new incremental business across c-store and impulse channels. The Director of Sales is responsible for growing the current revenue base through new placement, optimizing sell out, as well as implementing sales strategies to meet and exceed the targeted growth objectives (monthly, quarterly, and annually) of the company. These objectives will be accomplished through an established broker network, regional DSD partners and direct business relationships. The successful candidate will become an integral part of the internal and external sales team by providing access to the Pickle Juice® infrastructure to our partnership network and will be provided with the tools and opportunity to advance at a rapidly scaling organization.Candidate must live near a significant airport and be willing to travel up to 25% to 40%A qualified candidate will poses demonstrate the following qualities:Minimum 5 years sales experience in the CPG industry with at least 3 years calling on the c-store channel.Demonstrated ability to grow revenue within national and regional distributors.Ability to earn more than fair share of broker energy and focus on the Pickle Juice brand.Ability to thrive in a result driven organization with a proven track record of success.Drive a professional corporate culture.Be an active and enthusiastic “face” of the company when interacting with coworkers, customers and members of the public.Proficient computer skills (MS Office, CRM programs, Quickbooks).Well-organized and responsible with an aptitude for problem-solving.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.A team player with a high level of dedication.Core ResponsibilitiesChannel Strategy & GrowthDevelop 1-, 3-, and 5-year convenience channel growth plans. Establish annual revenue, distribution, and profitability targets. Identify whitespace opportunities by geography, retailer, and distributor. Build go-to-market strategies for new products and innovation launches. National Account ManagementWork in conjunction with assigned broker partners to:Own relationships with major convenience store chains. Lead annual business reviews and joint business planning. Negotiate: Distribution gains Shelf placement Promotional calendars Pricing Trade spending New item authorizations Drive top-to-top retailer relationships. Distributor & Wholesaler ManagementManage strategic relationships with: Core-Mark McLane Company H.T. HackneyRegional wholesale & DSD partners OthersSecure warehouse authorizations. Improve fill rates and service levels. Drive distributor sales priorities and incentive programs. Trade & Revenue ManagementManage annual trade budget. Evaluate ROI on promotions. Balance volume growth with margin objectives. Monitor customer P&Ls and profitability. Distribution & Retail ExecutionExpand points of distribution. Improve shelf presence and merchandising. Drive display execution. Monitor: Velocity TDPs (Total Distribution Points) Market share Promotional compliance Coordinate with brokers and field teams. Category & Data AnalyticsUtilize: Circana (IRI) SPINS (when applicable) Retailer POS data OtherAnalyze: Category trends Competitive activity Pricing point management Promotional effectiveness Build recommendations that increase retailer category sales.Team LeadershipCoach account managers and broker teams.
