The Job Corps program is a federally funded residential training program. Job Corps’ mission is to educate and train youth ages 16 -24 for successful careers in the nation’s fastest-growing industries.\nSummary of Duties: The Career Preparation Period Specialist provides instruction during the Career Preparation Phase of enrollment. Assists students in becoming acclimated to the Job Corps Program and the Center. Works with the team members to assist students in gaining employability skills. Puts into place all systems necessary to meet any special needs a student might have. Establishes a high degree of student/instructor rapport. Records daily attendance in the Center Information System (CIS). Coordinates enrollment requirements in conjunction with the Career Counselor to meet Department of Labor (DOL) requirement of CPP.\n\nDescription of Duties:\nDevelops effective student educational experiences that engage and stimulate student learning.\nAdequately prepares for instruction.
