The operator simultaneously operates one or more extrusion lines safely, while controlling and troubleshooting various process attributes ensuring required parameters stay within optimum tolerance to make quality finished goods that meet specifications and support the team(s) goals. Working as a team and supporting fellow employees ensuring production goals are met, is key in this position.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nThe machine operator/material handler (as part of the manufacturing team) performs the following essential functions. These examples do not include all duties which the employee is expected to perform but rather highlight key expectations for the position and the incumbent.\nPerform and document Operator level equipment preventive maintenance (PMs) (i.e., change filters, change dust collection pots, clean out piping buildup, basic lubrication; area 5S, etc.)\nTaking samples on time (from all required points in the process) to ensure there are no delays in testing.\nAccurately complete daily production line documentation\nTo notify the Supervisor/Manager/Maintenance immediately if you believe additional support is needed with regards to machine/equipment repairs verbally and via work requests.\nProvide significant hands-on contribution to machine repairs, as needed.\nEnsure the processes run stable at a standard speed/output.\nMaintain clean orderly equipment and work areas.\nDevelop his/her working knowledge of the extrusion process and its sub-parts.\nUnderstand, and properly interpret process conditions adjusting as needed, to keep finished goods within quality specifications and aligned to our food safety planning.\nIs responsible for running equipment in a safe way and for meeting all production KPIs\nPerform other duties as assigned\nPreferred Qualifications:\nPossess a high school diploma or equivalent.
