Senior Assistant District Attorney Job Description The Ulster County District Attorney's Office is seeking qualified, dedicated attorneys with 5 or more years of recent experience in New York criminal law practice, to join its high-impact public service office in the pursuit of its commitment to community safety and Justice for All.
About the Work Available openings require interest in courtroom litigation and associated practices, with the opportunity to prosecute felony cases of diverse degrees and complexity. Specialization in any area is not required but is welcome. Qualifications & Requirements Admission to the New York State Bar and eligibility to practice law in New York
5 or more years of recent experience in criminal law practice in New York State
Experience prosecuting domestic violence, crimes against children and sex crimes is a plus
Standard research and writing skills, oral presentations, argument, and motions practice are necessary
Prior defense or prosecutorial experience under CPL 245 is essential
All prospective employees must undergo security clearance
Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary range of $111,000 — $123,000 per year commensurate with prosecutorial experience
