It helps organizations better understand their workforce while improving trust, productivity, and talent development across a range of industries.About the OpportunityThe Software Development Engineer within the Shared Services team focuses on advancing quality engineering through scalable test automation, strong software engineering practices, and AI-enabled capabilities. This role helps improve software quality, test coverage, and delivery efficiency by developing reusable frameworks and partnering closely with product and engineering teams.Responsibilities• Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks, libraries, shared services, and developer tools.• Build reusable capabilities for browser, API, integration, contract, performance, accessibility, and end-to-end testing.• Establish engineering standards for automation architecture, code quality, testability, reliability, and maintainability.• Integrate automated quality checks, release validations, and quality gates into CI/CD pipelines to improve execution speed and diagnostics.• Implement automation observability through logging, metrics, traces, dashboards, and alerts.• Analyze telemetry and test results to identify quality issues and opportunities for improvement.• Partner with development, DevOps, SRE, security, architecture, and release teams to improve delivery quality and engineering practices.• Mentor engineers and testers in automation, software development, DevOps, and AI-assisted engineering.Requirements• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, quality engineering, DevOps, platform engineering, or a related field.• Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, Java, C#, or similar programming languages.• Experience designing and maintaining automation frameworks, shared libraries, and engineering tools.• Hands-on experience with browser automation technologies such as Playwright or Selenium WebDriver.• Experience with API, integration, contract, and end-to-end testing.• Proficiency with Git, pull requests, code reviews, build systems, deployment workflows, and CI/CD platforms such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.• Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, cloud services, and modern application architectures.• Familiarity with observability practices including logging, metrics, and distributed tracing.• Experience with AI coding assistants such as Claude Code or Codex.• Understanding of Model Context Protocol, tool calling, and agentic application development.• Ability to review, validate, and safely apply AI-generated code and workflows.Preferred Qualifications• Experience transitioning teams to reusable engineering solutions and standardized automation practices.• Knowledge of performance and security validation.• Familiarity with AI evaluation and multi-agent systems.• Experience with observability platforms such as OpenTelemetry or Datadog.Pay Range and Compensation Package• The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors.Equal Opportunity Statement: Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
