In this role, you’ll manage, maintain, and optimize databases to ensure they’re secure, reliable, and scalable - whether running in the cloud or hybrid environments.\nYou’ll work closely with system architects and development teams to align database solutions with application goals and security requirements. If you enjoy solving complex data challenges, ensuring smooth performance, and building systems that support real-world missions, this role offers the chance to make a direct impact.\n\nThis position is contingent upon contract award.\n\nResponsibilities\nAdminister, maintain, and optimize relational databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL) supporting modernized and legacy applications\nWork closely with application developers and system architects to ensure effective database design and integration\nImplement and maintain security measures in accordance with DoD and IC compliance frameworks\nMonitor database performance, perform tuning, backups, and disaster recovery procedures\nDevelop and maintain data models, queries, stored procedures, scripts, and documentation\nTroubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, including availability, integrity, and latency\n\nRequired Qualifications\nTS/SCI with Polygraph\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience\nMinimum of 3 years of experience with relational database administration\nStrong SQL skills and familiarity with performance tuning, indexing, and database optimization\nExperience with database security and data compliance frameworks\nFamiliarity with database support in cloud environments (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL)\n\nDesired Qualifications\nExperience with cloud-native databases and NoSQL technologies\nCertifications such as Oracle DBA, AWS Database Specialty, or Microsoft Azure Database Administrator Associate\nExperience supporting DoD or Intelligence Community projects\nKnowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes\n\nCompany Overview\nOps Tech Alliance (OTA) was founded by former National Security and Special Operations professionals with over 100 years of combined experience, and was formed with a singular focus: to bridge the gap between operations and technology to enable mission success.
