Line Technician - Press 2nd Shift (2:45p - 11:00p)
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
PRIMARY TASKS
1. Promotes teamwork and supports Team Lead to ensure safe and effective execution of production plans.
2. Knowledge of all processes on the press line that includes basic understanding of dies and metal forming.
3. Ensures that all Team Members are trained and follow standardized work and standardized procedures diligently and with integrity including SAP as it pertains to the job.
4. Provides support for both informal and structured audits (safety checks, 5S, standardized work, red rabbits and other standard GPS audits) and supports corrective action to remediate deficiencies evident from these audits.
5. Make adjustments per press set-up data to correct part quality issues.
6. Troubleshoot the press line to recover and restart the line safely and as quickly as possible to minimize press downtime.
7. Ability to complete die change and start-up press line.
8. Ability to accurately record daily production and efficiency.
9. Ability to provide feedback for process improvements.
10. Actively participate in shift meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
1. High School Diploma or GED equivalent;
2. 6-month experience working on the Press lines with Class A surfaces preferred;
3. 1 year of manufacturing production experience in manufacturing industry required;
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
1. Experience with standardized work required;
2. PC basics;
3. Basic math skills;
4. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in a team environment;
5. SAP experience required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
