This is a temporary grant funded position contingent upon grant funding through June 30, 2027. This grant position will be eligible for participation in the Florida Retirement System (FRS) after 6 consecutive months of continuous employment.What you will be doingPrepares the testing packages for exam sessions and verifies that all packages are completeMaintains the security of child care competency exams at all timesProvides guidance and oversees child care personnel to ensure the exam process is carried outEnsures that there are always sufficient exam sessions made available to meet the community needsProvides training to proctors responsible for administering the child care examsEnsures that the procedures outlined in the “Child Care Exam Administration Guide” are being followed at all times by the testing sitesWorks closely with Miami Dade Public School personnel and the testing directors in setting up exam calendarsKeeps track of child care exam booklets that are created and destroyed by the departmentMaintains the necessary records of all exams administered for a period of six yearsPerforms other duties as assignedWhat you need to succeedBachelor’s degree and three (3) years of related experience; or Associate’s degree and seven (7) years of related experience All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institutionKnowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and polices and proceduresPossess excellent organizational skills and have attention to detail Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and other applicable computer programsAbility to oversee and train employees to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignmentsAbility to communicate effectively in Spanish and English (verbal and written)Knowledge and understanding of training and educational principlesAbility to work effectively in a multi-ethnic/multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staffPreferencesCertain service members and veterans, and the spouses and family members of such service members and veterans, will receive preference and priority for this job vacancy.
