This role focuses on assisting with laboratory test orders, results, test information, and problem resolution, all within a supportive telephone service center setting.\n\nSchedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM\n\nBenefits:\nMedical, Dental, Vision with In-Network & Custom Network discounts\n401(K) with discretionary employer match\nPaid Time Off\nFree clinical diagnostic laboratory testing performed in house\nWhat You'll Do:\nMonitor and research reasons for missing results.\nAssist with coordination of Health Fairs.\nAccession drug screens and report results.\nLog and communicate will-call pickup requests from clients to Interpath courier staff.\nComputer skills, use of fax server, fax machine, copy machine and printers, filing.\nUnderstand and adhere to HIPAA policies, procedures and regulations to assure patient confidentiality.\nParticipate in departmental quality assurance monitors.\nFollow all established I.Q. protocols\nPerform other work-related duties as assigned.\nSignificant understanding of phlebotomy, specimen processing, testing and courier routes, as well as general understanding of other departments and how they interact with Inside Client Services is necessary.\nFunction as a skilled resource to clients and laboratory staff regarding test guidelines and procedures.\nInvestigate and accurately resolve problems for clients and laboratory staff.\nProactively identify, research and analyze root causes and trends affecting clients and/or patients; assist in creating solutions.\nReport critical value results, communicable diseases and other verbal, faxed or mailed results as required.\nUnderstand and follow Medicare medical necessity requirements and Advance Beneficiary Notices (ABNs).\nEnter and modify orders in laboratory information system software, including new, existing and standing orders as well as added tests and test cancels.\nDocument and collect data through Client Relationship Management (CRM) software\nAccurately quote test pricing to Interpath clients, patients and laboratory staff.\nInteract with reference laboratories for data entry and problem resolution.\nAttends work regularly and on time.\nEducation & Certification:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent; Some college is preferred\nExperience:\nPrevious laboratory processing experience (preferred, but not required)\nStrong preference for candidates with a consistent employment history and minimal career gaps\nSkills & Competencies:\nStrong analytical and communication skills\nExcellent customer service abilities\nHigh-level computer skills\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks\nKnowledge of medical terminology is a plus\nAbout Us: Interpath Laboratory, Inc. is a family owned & operated, clinical and anatomic pathology laboratory with over 90 locations in Oregon, Washington, and Idaho.
