support product and manufacturing quality for an established automotive manufacturing operation in Bloomfield, CT.\n\nThis role is an excellent opportunity for a quality professional with strong experience in PPAP, APQP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, AIAG Core Tools, and IATF 16949 to make a direct impact on manufacturing quality, process improvement, and problem resolution.\n\nThe Quality Engineer will investigate product and process issues, support root-cause and corrective-action activities, develop and maintain quality systems and documentation, and work closely with manufacturing and engineering teams to continuously improve quality and process performance.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nSupport quality engineering activities for manufacturing processes, products, equipment, and systems.\nInvestigate product and process quality issues and lead or support structured root-cause analysis and corrective-action activities.\nSupport PPAP activities and maintain required documentation.\nParticipate in APQP activities for new and existing products and manufacturing processes.\nDevelop, review, and maintain quality standards, procedures, inspection methods, and documentation.\nApply the AIAG Core Tools, including:\nFMEA\nSPC\nMSA\nPPAP\nAPQP\nEstablish sampling procedures and methods for collecting, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.\nEvaluate the precision and accuracy of production, inspection, measurement, and testing equipment.\nAnalyze quality and manufacturing data using statistical tools to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.\nRead and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, specifications, and technical documentation.\nSupport compliance with IATF 16949 and applicable automotive quality standards.\nCollaborate with manufacturing, engineering, operations, suppliers, and other cross-functional teams to resolve quality concerns.\nDevelop quality-related training materials and provide technical guidance and training as needed.\nProvide technical direction and support to personnel involved in product inspection, measurement, testing, and data collection.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives focused on product quality, process capability, reliability, and manufacturing performance.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\nBachelors degree in Engineering required.\n57 years of quality engineering or manufacturing engineering experience required.\nStrong experience with automotive quality processes and methodologies.\nWorking knowledge of AIAG Core Tools, including PPAP, APQP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA.\nKnowledge of IATF 16949 automotive quality-management requirements.\nExperience applying statistical methods to manufacturing and quality data.\nProficiency with Minitab.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, specifications, and technical documentation.\nStrong root-cause analysis, problem-solving, and analytical skills.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.\nStrong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.\nAbility to provide technical guidance, mentoring, and constructive
