Duties and responsibilities include:\nParticipate as part of an Agile software development team to design, implement, execute and analyze automated performance tests of web-based applications.\nDevelop reusable automated test scripts and maintain their compatibility with software as application changes.\nUtilize repeatable analysis techniques to provide standardized, actionable results\nDevelop performance testing plans to present to business stakeholders.\nObserve and inspect application server performance metrics to identify bottlenecks.\nCoordinate testing activities with the rest of the development team to avoid conflicts.\nDevelop and maintain an understanding of the business application under test in order to design a realistic simulation of user behavior.\nDevelop realistic test models by interviewing business stakeholders, reviewing usage data from existing systems, and modeling predicted future behavior.\nCommunicate identified potential problems clearly and unambiguously, and contribute to project development task prioritization.\nDraft and deliver reports on test results to stakeholders\nRequirements\n3-4 years of experience in a technical position - experience in automated and/or performance testing very much preferred.\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field\nWorking knowledge and understanding of Java, Groovy, and/or other coding software\nWorking knowledge of SQL\nSolid experience with MS Excel or other data summarization and graphing tools\nAbility to read and analyze application log files\nDemonstrated capability with verbal and written communications;\nDemonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners\nContract requires US citizenship and subsequent background check\nDesires Skills\nExperience with Appian\nExperience with installation and administration of software applications in both Linux and Windows-based systems\nExperience with Apache JMeter, LoadRunner, or other application performance testing tools.\nKnowledge and/or experience with HTTP(S), JSON, XML, Regular Expressions,\nExperience with analysis of RDBMS performance - such as query optimization, indexes, normalization/denormalization\nExperience mentoring more junior staff.\nBenefits\nFull time employees with Vision Point Systems qualify for a generous benefits plan to include medical, dental, 1x your salary in life insurance, and short and long term disability.
