You must live in the Great Houston area to be considered.The Process Engineer will provide technical support to Operating Unit(s) to enhance profitability and operational efficiency. The role involves collaborating with various departments to identify, develop, and implement solutions to optimize process performance.Key Responsibilities Develop a comprehensive understanding of the assigned unit's operations. Collaborate with Operations and Maintenance teams to drive process improvements. Execute projects and assignments in adherence to company processes, policies, and budget constraints. Assist in Process Safety Management/Process Hazard Analysis activities. Coordinate cross-disciplinary work and maintain strong working relationships. Perform necessary calculations and review calculations by other engineers for accuracy and compliance. Support the development of Operating Procedures and validate training materials. Undertake other job-related duties as assigned.Qualifications Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited university (diploma copy required). Minimum of four (4) years of experience proving process support in a petrochemical or refinery environment.Active TWIC CardRequired Skills Strong grasp of technical principles and their practical application. Experience in PSM and ISO environments is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, spreadsheets, databases, and word processing.Physical Requirements Ability to walk up to one mile on industrial plants and construction sites outdoors. Capability to work in protective clothing under varying temperatures. Proficiency in using multi-level stair towers and rung ladders. Ability to hear safety alarms while wearing hearing protection. Capacity to operate a computer for extended periods. Capability to perform physical tasks such as standing, gripping, climbing, stooping, etc. Strong visual acuity and color differentiation. Valid driver's license and ability to operate a motor vehicle.
