The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills, be able to multi-task, and have a proven track record of managing the operation to achieve business objectives. Yzer's culture is at the core of everything we do so it is very crucial for this candidate foster trust, collaboration and team decision-making.HoursMon - Fri - 5:30AM - 2PM - 40 standard, however additional hours will be necessary based on customer needs.Job ResponsibilitiesPlan, manage and evaluate operations supporting internal/external stakeholders, suppliers, transportation drivers (W2 and Independent Contractors).Create and implement best practice logistics principles, policies and processes across the organization to improve operational and financial performance.Deliver solutions to logistics problems while maintaining high levels of quality and service within budgetary requirements.Recommend optimal transport modes, routes or frequency.Select carriers/suppliers and monitor service against performance criteria.Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports or customer issues.Review impact of logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or carriers and report results to others.Assess and make recommendations for logistics processes in potential new facilities or plants and advise of cost implications and efficiency.Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify inefficiencies and cost optimization opportunitiesEnsure the integrity of inventory accuracy and manage stock movements with the help of direct reportsIdentify and resolve any inventory discrepancies to ensure system reconciliation.Manage, coach and develop a high performing team that meets agreed objectives and delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvementsInterpret trends, analyze and review data. Provide meaningful logistics data to others in the organization to aid customer service and cost improvementsManage reporting and KPI metrics to drive an effective operation.RequirementsQualificationsLeadership & Team Management: Proven ability to lead, inspire, and motivate teams toward achieving project goals.
