Join our team and be at the forefront of innovation and creativity.\n\nWe are looking for a Technical Services Engineer to join our team in Dublin for a dedicated Tuesday through Saturday shift.\n\nWe are looking to speak to candidates who are based in Dublin for our hybrid working model.\n\nAbout the Team\nMongoDB Technical Services Engineers (TSEs) use their exceptional problem-solving and customer service skills, along with deep technical experience, to advise customers and solve complex MongoDB problems. TSEs are experts in the entire MongoDB ecosystem, including the database server, drivers, and services like Atlas and Cloud Manager. Our engineers combine MongoDB expertise with passion, initiative, and teamwork to achieve exceptional results.\n\nCool Things You’ll Do\n\nWork alongside our largest customers and partners to solve complex issues involving architecture, performance, recovery, and security\n\nServe as an expert resource on standard methodologies for running MongoDB at scale\n\nAct as an advocate for customer and partner needs by collaborating with product management and development teams\n\nContribute to internal projects, such as the software development of support tools for performance, benchmarking, and diagnostics\n\nMentor and ramp up new team members while building knowledge of new product lines within the MongoDB ecosystem\n\nWork with top ISV partners to ensure excellence for joint customers\n\nWhat You Need\n\nSolid hands‑on experience with systems engineering, including Linux performance, memory management, I/O tuning, configuration, security, networking, and troubleshooting\n\nA strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols such as DNS, TCP/IP, and SSL/TLS\n\nExperience building and maintaining complex mission‑critical production database systems (RDBMS or NoSQL)\n\nBasic coding or scripting ability in one or more languages: Java, Python, Ruby, C, C++, C#, JavaScript, Node.js, or Go\n\nExperience analyzing and troubleshooting issues holistically, from the application tier through the database down to storage\n\nExcellent communication skills and the ability to think on your feet while remaining calm under pressure\n\nA genuine desire to help people and a passion for rapidly learning new technical skills\n\nBonus Points\n\nExperience using or managing MongoDB\n\nExperience using cloud services stacks such as AWS, Azure, or GCP\n\nStrong understanding of authentication systems such as LDAP, Kerberos, or Active Directory\n\nExperience with Kubernetes or other orchestration systems using vendor‑specific Enterprise operators\n\nFamiliarity with distributed version control systems, particularly Git\n\nUnderstanding of the GenAI landscape and technology companies in this space\n\nSuccess Measures\n\nIn 3 months: You will have gained a deep understanding of MongoDB and its partner ecosystem and completed New Hire Training\n\nIn 6 months: You will be comfortable working frontline with customers and partners and will complete the MongoDB Certified DBA Associate exam\n\nIn 12 months: You will be a technical specialist within MongoDB, helping peer engineers with advanced diagnostics and handling technical escalations independently\n\nAbout MongoDB\nMongoDB is built for change, empowering our customers and our people to innovate at the speed of the market.
