Are you ready to be a part of a team committed to changing the world?\n\nWho You Are\nAs a R&D Battery Operations Engineer you will sustain and improve the capabilities necessary to enable our customers to realize the advantages of Sila’s technology in real-world cells.\n\nResponsibilities and Duties\n\nImplement and monitor quality control procedures to reduce defects and improve overall product quality\n\nEstablish incoming material, in-process material, and final material inspection\n\nSet-up SPC charts for process control\n\nConduct RCAs\n\nWork collaboratively with technicians, scientists and other engineers to produce high quality\n\nExperience with battery production and testing processes highly desired\n\nLead continuous improvement projects on the battery assembly and testing processes of the R&D lab to improve safety, quality and capacity\n\nImplement lean manufacturing techniques, Six Sigma methodologies, and other process improvement strategies.\n\nMentor, train, coach, and support technicians\n\nMaintain detailed documentation of manufacturing processes, changes, and improvements\n\nData mining and generation of reports on process performance, efficiency, and quality metrics for management review\n\nScope, plan and integrate new equipment and processes, improving their performance, output and yield\n\nInvest in our company values and vision and champion them as we grow\n\nKnowledge and Skill Requirements\n\nHands-on industrial laboratory or manufacturing experience\n\nDemonstrated ability to learn new systems and improve them\n\nCollaborative and self-motivated working style\n\nProficiency in data collection and analysis\n\nAbility to carefully plan and execute multiple projects simultaneously\n\nUnderstanding of materials\n\nPhysical Demands and Working Conditions\n\nPass a respirator fit test and be able to wear respiratory protection on a daily basis\n\nWear personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, a lab coat, gloves, safety glasses, and steel toe safety shoes\n\nHands-on work in the lab expected up to 75% of the time\n\nWork Schedule\nRegular Shift: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 6:00pm\n\nThe starting base pay for this role is between $128,000 and $162,000 at the time of posting. The actual base pay depends on many factors, such as education, experience, and skills. Base pay is only one part of Sila’s competitive Total Rewards package that can include benefits, perks, equity.
