This position collaborates closely with laboratory engineering and cross-functional teams to ensure that Telcordia Generic Requirements (GR) specifications, along with internal standards, are effectively integrated into high-quality product designs.\n\nThe ideal candidate is a hands-on, plastic parts designer with strong 3D modeling experience using Creo. Expertise in molded plastic part design is essential. This individual excels at translating complex requirements into actionable engineering plans and 3D models.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nDevelop and maintain accurate 2D drawings and 3D CAD models\n\nUpdate and revise designs based on feedback and engineering changes\n\nEnsure designs meet specifications, standards, and manufacturability requirements\n\nCollaborate with engineers, designers, and manufacturing teams\n\nOrganize and manage CAD files and documentation\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\nAssociate’s Degree in an engineering-related field and trained in 3D modeling using Creo\n\nProficiency in Creo software\n\nStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skills\n\nBasic understanding of engineering principles and materialsAbility to interpret technical drawings and specifications\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nExperience in product development or manufacturing environments\n\nFamiliarity with SAP-based PLM systems and revision control processes\n\nPhysical & Work Environment Requirements\n\nAbility to work in laboratory and engineering environments around equipment, chambers, and instrumentation.\n\nOccasional lifting of 30–50 lbs during test setup or equipment handling.\n\nStanding, bending, or working in environmental or ESD-controlled areas as required.\n\nUse of PPE (safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection) per procedures.\n\nOccasional off-shift support for time-critical testing or prototype builds.\n\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nCommScope is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EEO), including people with disabilities and veterans.
