You'll manage engineering teams of senior ICs directly, set the technical and operational bar for the group, and make sure work is prioritized correctly across a demanding mix of urgent and long-term needs.\r\nThis team sits at the intersection of Engineering, Customer Success, and Sales. You'll need to be equally comfortable setting engineering standards, coaching engineers, and triaging competing priorities across time zones. This is a 100% remote role, with preference for candidates located in Massachusetts, Maryland, or Greater Austin TX.\r\nWhat You'll Do\r\nManage and grow engineering teams based in the US, UK, and APAC, providing hands-on people leadership, coaching, and career development\r\nSet priorities across urgent pre-sales requests, urgent customer issues, customer feature requests, and backend maintenance/integration work, balancing reactive and proactive work\r\nEnsure continuous, follow-the-sun coverage for urgent customer and pre-sales needs across time zones\r\nPartner closely with Customer Success and Sales leadership to understand customer and deal-critical needs and translate them into engineering plans\r\nPartner with Product and other Engineering teams to ensure customer-driven work is integrated into the broader platform roadmap\r\nOwn the team's engineering quality bar, including code quality, root-cause practices, and long-term fixes over one-off patches\r\nDrive hiring, onboarding, and performance management across all three regional teams\r\nEstablish and refine on-call, escalation, and incident response processes for the team\r\nReport on team health, throughput, and customer outcomes to engineering and company leadership\r\nRemove blockers for your teams and stay close enough to the technical work to make credible calls under pressure\r\nWhat You'll Bring\r\n5+ years of experience managing software engineers, ideally across distributed or multi-region teams\r\nExperience in cybersecurity, vulnerability management, or threat intelligence\r\nPrior experience as a senior or staff software engineer, with credibility to engage in technical discussions and unblock your team\r\nExperience managing customer-facing, support, sustaining, or reliability engineering teams\r\nProven ability to prioritize and sequence competing demands—urgent customer issues, pre-sales asks, and longer-term maintenance work\r\nExperience managing teams across multiple time zones and regions, with strong async communication habits\r\nSolid understanding of backend systems, APIs, distributed systems, and cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred)\r\nA customer-obsessed mindset and a track record of turning technical challenges into strong customer outcomes\r\nExcellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, Sales, Customer Success, and other Engineering teams\r\nExperience working with data pipelines, ETL systems, or high-volume data processing is a plus\r\nPreferred Qualifications\r\nPrior experience managing a customer reliability, sustaining, support, or escalation engineering function\r\nFamiliarity with CVE, NVD, KEV, or exploit intelligence datasets\r\nExperience supporting pre-sales or deal-critical technical requests\r\nBackground in high-growth or startup environments\r\nWhat We Offer\r\nWe believe people do their best work when they feel supported, trusted, and valued.
