That's why our family of brands helps customers create products and capture moments that reflect who they uniquely are.This is an on-site position that will work out of Shutterfly's manufacturing facility in Plano, TX.Primary Responsibilities:Identifying opportunities for process improvement, waste removal, and cost reductionPlanning, facilitating, and executing continuous improvement events using Lean Six Sigma toolsTeaching, leading, and coaching cross-functional teams on Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologyWorking to continuously improve processes both on the production floor as well as transactional by collaborating with multiple functions such as logistics and merchandizingCore Responsibilities:Clearly defining program objectives and scopeEvaluating and prioritizing potential improvements based on gains and required effortSecuring employee commitment (ex: process managers) for proactive change managementEstablishing a clear and well-articulated implementation planEstablishing criteria for the project's success and preparing a sound statement of constraints/limiting factors and financial business casesAppropriately implementing principles of governanceResolving technical problems such as formulation, equipment, product, interpretation of regulations, and resource availabilityIdentifying intervention priorities and indicatorsConducting detailed analysis of the current situation that accurately describes the issuesSpecifying deliverables, outcome indicators, and performance-measured indicatorsIdentifying available resources (for example, people, material, and finances)Mapping out in detail the desired situationClearly defining methodologyAccurately analyzing options including impact and feasibilitySpecifying obstacles and ways to overcome them through continuous improvementRegularly monitoring the implementation of solutions to achieve objectives and expected benefitsRequired and Desired Skills:Passion for not being satisfied with the status quoMotivation to pursue positive change and work with employees in facilitating recommended changesExcellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to communicate with all levels of employees from upper management to production floor workersUsing Lean Six Sigma methodologies, you will lead the improvement efforts and train others to implement themBeing organized and adept at weighing and managing priorities is key to manage and prioritize resource availabilityUsing keen analytical skills and synthesizing information comes into play when determining how current processes can be improvedDemonstrated Soft Skills:Passion for Continuous ImprovementAbility to communicate with all levels within the organizationExcellent written and oral communication skillsPredisposition to teach leaders a zero-defect mentalityAbility to weigh and manage prioritiesSkilled at synthesis and analysisDetail orientedFlexibility and diplomacy when dealing with staff and coworkersAbility to make decisions as well as influence decision-makingStrong work habits focusing on safety, quality, and productivityOrganizational skills and ability to multitaskProject managementDemonstrated Hard Skills:5S, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Lean Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis, Value Stream MappingProficiency in commonly used and specialized softwareStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Suite, including advanced skills with ExcelDemonstrated ability to work in high paced and changing environmentsEducation and Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in business administration, finance, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.Master's Degree in management or operations.Black Belt or Shainin Journeyman required, Master Blackbelt preferred.Supporting a diverse and inclusive workforce is important to Shutterfly not only because it directly reflects our value of Embracing our Differences, but also because it's the right thing to do for our business and for our people.
