LAFC is invested in the world's game and Los Angeles, constructing, and developing the 22,000 seat BMO Stadium and a top-flight training center on the campus of Cal-State Los Angeles.\r\nPosition Summary\r\nThe Coordinator, Merchandise, supports the planning, development, and execution of official club merchandise and retail initiatives for Los Angeles Football Club. This role works cross-functionally with Brand, Marketing, Retail, Partnerships, and Operations teams to ensure LAFC merchandise reflects the club's identity while driving fan engagement and revenue growth.\r\nThis person will assist with product development, licensee coordination, inventory and sales tracking, and merchandise activations across retail locations, e-commerce, and special events. This is a fast-paced, high-intensity role that requires accuracy, efficiency, and the ability to meet tight deadlines across overlapping projects. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, creative, passionate about sports culture and fashion, and eager to contribute and make an impact to a dynamic growing environment.\r\nThis role reports to the VP, Brand.\r\nLAFC is currently operating on a hybrid work model with a minimum of 2 in-office days per week. Please note that this may vary by role, and your scheduled in-office days are up to the discretion of your supervisor.\r\nEssential Functions\r\nMerchandise Development & Product Coordination\r\nAssist in the planning and development of LAFC branded merchandise, including but not limited to apparel, headwear, and accessories across men, women and youth categories.\r\nCoordinate product timelines from concept through production and retail launch.\r\nMaintain production calendars, launch schedules, and promotional plans.\r\nTrack and coordinate sample approvals, revisions, and final production deliverables with vendors and partners.\r\nAssist in providing feedback and/or approvals to league licensed vendors.\r\nEnsure merchandise aligns with club brand standards and abides by league licensing requirements.\r\nLicensee Management & Operational Retail Support\r\nCoordinate communication with merchandise vendors, licensees, manufacturers, and MLS consumer products team.\r\nCoordinate communication with in-venue retail store general manager.\r\nCoordinate communication with ecommerce retail management team.\r\nSupport special edition merchandise launches tied to club milestones, collaborations, or tournaments when applicable.\r\nBrand & Marketing Collaboration\r\nCoordinate with the club marketing, creative, and digital teams to support merchandise campaigns, promotional materials, and special launch events.\r\nAssist in preparing merchandise and sourcing models/locations for photoshoots, marketing activations, and promotional content.\r\nEnsure visual merchandising aligns with promotions/campaigns and brand standards for matchdays and special events.\r\nAssist with creating product storytelling and merchandising presentations for internal teams.\r\nEvent & Activation Support\r\nAssist with merchandise activations at matchdays, club events, and community initiatives.\r\nCoordinate logistics and planning for merchandise pop-ups, fan experiences, and retail promotions.\r\nInventory Data/Analytics and Administrative Operational Support\r\nAssist with inventory tracking, internal order allocation, and product distribution across retail channels.\r\nMaintain, monitor, and compile accurate merchandise records, sales performance, product databases, and reporting tools.\r\nSupport cross-departmental coordination to ensure timely product launches and internal order requests.\r\nAssist with budgeting documentation, invoices, expenses, and merchandise reporting.\r\nOther duties as assigned by Supervisor/Management.\r\nQualifications\r\nBachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Fashion or Design, Sports Management, or related field required.\r\nAt least 1 year of experience in retail operations, merchandising, or customer service/hospitality. Prior experience in sports, lifestyle, design, fashion/streetwear apparel preferred.\r\nStrong organizational and project management skills.\r\nAbility to manage multiple projects and timelines simultaneously.\r\nExcellent communication and collaboration skills.\r\nExperience working in Adobe suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere, etc)\r\nExperience working in Google suite (Sheets, Docs, Drive, etc)\r\nExperience working in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc)\r\nExperience with photography and/or videography production, shooting, and editing preferred.\r\nPrior experience planning, producing, and executing small events preferred.\r\nStrong knowledge of Los Angeles culture and history.\r\nFamiliarity with merchandise licensing and product development cycles preferred\r\nPrior experience with inventory systems, retail reporting tools, or merchandising software preferred.\r\nPassion for global football, sports culture, and the LAFC brand.\r\nMust be comfortable working in various work environments, such as office environments, retail locations, and event spaces.\r\nMust have reliable transportation to commute and transport inventory to various work locations throughout Southern California at any given notice.\r\nMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance and stand/walk for long period of time.\r\nFlexible schedule with the ability to work nights, weekends, matchdays and holidays as the event calendar requires.\r\nSalary Range\r\nAt LAFC, we carefully consider a wide range of factors to determine a fair and equitable compensation package. The final offer amount will consider a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to skill sets; relevant experience and training.
