You will be responsible for inspecting each product before placing it in the shipping container, making sure the product matches the label, reporting any inconsistencies in the product, placing the label in the proper location, and packing the product for shipment.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\nInspect all product for accuracy before placing in shipping container\nEnsure product matches the food label\nPlace the food label on the product in the correct location and with accuracy\nCommunicate with the machine operator if any product is damaged or if there are inconsistencies in the product\nMaintain a clean workspace\nKnowledge of food safety regulations\nAble to observe good manufacturing practices and USDA policies\nAble to identify foreign matters in product and capable of notifying Production Supervisor and the Quality Assurance Supervisor.\nAbility to work as a team to assemble and disassemble production equipment.\nEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND ABILITIES\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\nExperience in a production environment is preferred but not mandatory.\nBe able to work under pressure\nAble to follow instructions carefully\nStrong understanding of food safety regulations\nMaintain a clean and safe work environment\nAbility to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.\nAbility to be self-motivated and take initiative.\nAbility to operate, clean and maintain all equipment required in job.\nAbility to maintain a neat and clean appearance and convey self-confidence.\nAbility to exhibit and use proper manners and language\nWorking Conditions and Physical Requirements.\nWork in a manufacturing environment that can be noisy and require working with loud machinery.\nWorkers are required to wear hair nets, gloves and aprons for food safety purposes.\nPosition will require working in a slippery, cold, wet, refrigerated, or humid environment with an average temperature of below 40 Degrees consistently for entire shift.\nAbility to perform the physical requirements of the job, including bending, reaching, stooping, twisting, lifting, standing, walking, repetitive motion and the use of heavy machinery.\nAble to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to frequent changes that occur on the production line.\nLifting arms above the head is required\nManual Dexterity to cut and chop foods and perform other related tasks.\nAbility to lift up to 50lbs individually or follow policy and procedure team lift over 50lbs.\nExcellent attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and instructions.\nMust follow best in class manufacturing practices\nPlant and Employee Safety\nNo piercings or jewelry is allowed on the manufacturing floor\nSafety Processes and protocol must be followed at all times\nThe safety of ergonomics and lifting practices must be followed at all times.\nAny injury must be reported to management immediately\nDedicated non-Slip shoes must be worn at all times in the plant\nAll Safety Training must be completed within the determined deadline\nLock Out Tag Out processes must be followed at all times\nThe use of provided GMP’s and PPE must be worn before entering the production floor – examples include: Cut gloves, Safety Glasses, Hairnet, Beard nets, Gloves, and Smocks.\nThe correct color-coded Smocks must be worn in the identified area of the plant\nBlue – RAW Only\nWhite – General Production Floor\n\nEQUAL OPPORTUNITY AND INCLUSION STATEMENT\nJack Stack BBQ is an Equal Opportunity Employer and Prohibits Discrimination and Harassment of Any Kind.\nJack Stack BBQ is committed to the principle of equal employment opportunity for all employees and providing employees with a work environment free of discrimination and harassment.\nWe celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.\n\nNOTE\nThis job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee occupying this position.
