Safety and Occupational Health Specialist
Leading safety strategy and compliance efforts, the full-time Safety and Occupational Health Specialist will provide expert guidance, policy interpretation, and oversight for GSA's national safety program while working remotely.
Key Responsibilities
Provide expert guidance on occupational safety, hazard control, and regulatory compliance
Conduct inspections, investigations, and risk assessments; develop corrective action plans
Develop and deliver safety policies, guidance, and training programs
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in safety, occupational health, industrial hygiene, or related field
Minimum of five years of relevant scientific or technical experience in occupational safety and health
Professional certification (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM) preferred
Expert knowledge of OSH concepts, principles, laws, regulations, and codes
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications for safety compliance
