This role will serve as our coding leader and subject-matter expert for our professional coding service-delivery organization. This is a great opportunity to join a market-leading brand serving a high-growth end market while gaining valuable experience working closely with executive leadership.On a typical day, here's what you'll be working on: Manage client SLA'sResponsible for departmental KPI's to ensure targets are achievedManages employee performance management - conducts employee performance evaluationsCreates & enforces standard operating procedures across the coding functionMonitors coding inventory and takes action to balance across coders to maintain TATExecutes on quality assurance remediation actions as indicated Drives process improvement in coding service delivery Collaborates with other RCM functional areas regarding coding needsHas the authority and responsibility to hire, transfer, suspend, lay off, recall, promote, discharge, assign, reward, discipline, direct, or recommend such actions by using independent judgmentCreates and presents client reportsParticipates in thought leadership - internal and external facingCompletes monthly business review packages and presents as neededProject management - resource planning as per project scope, risk management, and escalation managementTake action to drive client revenue and expense management to hit margin targets as defined through the financial forecasting process This job description will be reevaluated by leadership periodically to allow any necessary modification due to client profile changes/updates, workflows, policy changes, and regulatory compliance requirementsRequirementsWho you are!5-7+ years of relevant experienceAssociate's degree or equivalent in applicable fieldBachelor's degree or equivalent in applicable field preferredSubject matter expertise in surgical coding Certifications from AAPC and/or AHIMAKey CompetenciesDrives Results. Consistently achieves results, even under difficult circumstances. Fosters a sense of urgency in the team for reaching goals and meeting deadlines.
