To include Food Service Associate Essential Functions as described in the Food Service Associate Job Description.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\nEssential Functions Statement(s)\nGreet customers with specified company greeting and give all customers prompt and courteous service in a friendly manner.\nOpen and close cash registers, performing tasks such as counting money, separating charge slips, coupons, and vouchers, balancing cash drawers.\nMaintain knowledge of current promotions.\nReceive and process cash or credit card payment. Operate Point of Sale machines.\nWatch for and recognize security risks and thefts by customers, employees and vendors and know how to prevent or handle within existing company policy. Protect company assets at all times.\nRecommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on customer needs and desires.\nClean shelves, counters, and tables. Maintain cleanliness and stock supplies in restrooms.\nFollow correct vendor check-in procedure as directed by company policy.\nPerform cigarette counts and maintain logs as directed by management.\nMaintain correct cash levels in register and make timely cash drop per company policy and procedure.\nFollow all safety procedures as directed by company policy.\nObtain, use and wear company approved safety equipment and apparel as directed by company policy.\nComply with laws and policies related to tobacco and alcohol sales.\nMaintain fueling area with a focus on safety and customer service.\nInsure the proper execution of all gasoline marketing programs.\nComplete gasoline housekeeping functions, including cleaning, dusting, sweeping and emptying trash.\nReplenish gasoline/fueling pump island supplies to insure in stock conditions at all times.\nProperly clean equipment and maintain stock levels in the beverage area.\nReport low stock levels to Food Service Staff.\n\nPOSITION QUALIFICATIONS\nCompetency Statement(s)\nAccuracy - Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.\nAdaptability - Ability to adapt to change in the workplace.\nCommunication, Oral - Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word.\nCustomer Oriented - Ability to take care of the customers’ needs while following company procedures.\nFriendly - Ability to exhibit a cheerful demeanor toward others.\nHonesty / Integrity - Ability to be truthful and be seen as credible in the workplace.\nInitiative - Ability to make decisions or take actions to solve a problem or reach a goal.\nOrganized - Possessing the trait of being organized or following a systematic method of performing a task.\nProblem Solving - Ability to find a solution for or to deal proactively with work-related problems.\nReliability - The trait of being dependable and trustworthy.\nSelf Motivated - Ability to be internally inspired to perform a task to the best of ones ability using his or her own drive or initiative.\nWorking Under Pressure - Ability to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations.\n\nSKILLS & ABILITIES\nEducation: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required\nExperience: No prior experience necessary\nComputer Skills: Basic keyboarding and computer skills desired but not necessary\nCertifications & Licenses: None\nOther Requirements: Must have the ability to read and write fluent English and to speak effectively before customers and employees.
