Part-Time Music Teacher

We are seeking a music teacher for Glenn Public School, Michigan's longest continuously run rural school. The music teacher will be responsible for designing and teaching a program that incorporates nature-based learning. The position is part-time for 4 hours a week during the school year.Job Duties:Create relevant lesson plansHelp students develop an understanding and appreciation of musicPlan instructional activities that include extension and enrichment of the curriculum, including field trips, use of community resources, hands-on activities, and visiting speakersUtilize Nature Rich-based learning to create lesson plansDemonstrate knowledge of the subject matter being taughtPrepare and deliver age-appropriate lessonsCommunicate with parents and staff by utilizing email and the school newsletterOther duties as required and approved by the administratorQualifications:Have experience in music education or lessonsTeaching certificateBe able to pass Criminal History Record Check
