Schedule, coordinate and supervise craft employee activities. May involve supervising one or more trade groups (electricians, boilermakers, carpenters, etc.) working in particular construction discipline (civil, structural, electrical).\n\nLocation\n\nYou can be located anywhere in the US, if you are highly willing to travel to our client projects on a long-term basis.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nYour key responsibilities:\n\nResource Management: Plan and supervise Equipment Start Up and Commissioning process, Assistant Superintendent (on larger projects) and/or craft activities such as, determining method of construction, workforce levels, material quantities equipment, temporary power sources, work schedule and documenting actual hours worked. Maintain liaison with other departments such as Material Control, Purchasing, Quality Control, and Engineering to ensure all required materials, equipment, inspections, support craft activities and project schedules.\nProject Planning and Strategy: Coordinate assigned work with the work of different crafts, company departments, or other contractors.\nRisk Management: Assist the Labor Relations Department in maintaining communications with unions, resolving jurisdictional disputes, requisitioning required workforce, and as necessary the labor approach for the projects assigned. Monitor craft compliance with project safety program requirements; document and ensure corrective measures are implemented.\nTeam Leadership: Maintain liaison with engineering, estimating, and planning to ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, and schedule. Experience assisting in resolving construction problems such as lack of productivity and work interfaces is required.\n\nOverall, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of projects that drive significant growth and innovation within the organization and serve our client’s needs.\n\nQualifications:\n\nTo qualify for the role, you must have:\n\nMinimum of 8 years supervisory experience in similar facility construction technology, methods, equipment, tools, and work procedures required.\nStrong Mechanical background in Data Centers’ experience is preferred.\nTitles by discipline may include, Technical Superintendent, Mechanical Superintendent, or Electrical Superintendent.\nAdvanced understanding of construction scheduling, cost control and demonstrated ability to control and supervise large groups.\nPrior experience with Commercial or Industrial project scopes of at least $50M value.\nA valid driver’s license in the US required; and willingness and ability to travel; travel is estimated at 70+%.\n\nIdeally, you’ll also have:\n\nExcellent communication and organizational skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.\nStrong history of leading, motivating and mentoring cross-functional teams.\nStrong knowledge of construction processes, laws, standards, and regulations.\nSuccessful background maintaining high safety standards and delivering quality outcomes.\nProficiency in developing and implementing project strategies, plans, and budgets.\n\nSkills and attributes for success:\n\nAbility to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments and adapt to changing project requirements.\nEEO/AA Employer M/F/D/V:\n\nWalbridge is an equal opportunity employer with a culture that promotes diversity in the workforce.
