This role is critical in defining, implementing, and validating the behavior and integration of DCDC systems within the vehicle architecture. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure robust and compliant system development.\nYOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:\nExecute the development of power electronics systems by understanding requirements, defining technological solutions and architectures, and coordinating integration, calibration, verification, and validation activities.\nDefine and Review CAN communication architecture (inputs/outputs) and software behavior logic (e.g., fault handling, safe shutdown, error signaling).\nEnsure compliance with automotive standards and regulations.\nOperate within AVL’s reference project organization for product development.\nCoordinate collaboration between customers, engineering domains, skill areas, and suppliers.\nAct as technical lead within the power electronics system development project.\nDocument and present development solutions and test results to stakeholders, including release documentation.\nContribute to project planning and participate in project meetings.\nCoordinate and execute performance analysis to optimize the power electronics system.\nSupport project time-planning and deliverable generation.\nMaintain documentation within the development toolchain, including system descriptions, requirements, solutions, and test cases.\nManage integration and validation plans for the power electronics system.\nDefine test cases and sequences according to the verification plan.\nMonitor test execution and report deviations.\nPrepare technical reports and documentation for milestone and quality gate reviews.\nApply system development processes and methods, understanding both generic and product‑specific approaches.\nStay updated with technological trends and development methodologies.\nTroubleshoot specific technical issues related to power electronics systems.\nYOUR PROFILE:\nMinimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or related field.\nIn-depth knowledge of power electronics, in particular power electronics , including their functions and integration within the vehicle architecture.\nBasic understanding of several other vehicle systems.\nSolid understanding of in‑vehicle communication networks (e.g., CAN).\nExperience with requirements engineering tools.\nPrevious experience in OEM or Tier 1 projects.\nFamiliarity with requirements management tools (DOORS, Polarion or similar).\nKnowledge of simulation and modeling environments (Simulink, SysML)\nFamiliarity with modern development processes and methods.\nAbility to manage the lifecycle of systems engineering items and work‑products.\nExcellent communication and teamwork skills.\nFluent in English ans Spanish (written and spoken).\nWE OFFER:\nParticipation in cutting‑edge electrification projects in the automotive sector.\nTechnically challenging and collaborative work environment.\nProfessional development opportunities in an international context.\nTraining programs\nAnnual bonus for goals\nInterested?\nIf so, please use our online application tool to send your application to AVL!\nYou are interested in a job at AVL but you are not sure how to apply or want to know what happens after you send your application?
