{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"8b0dfd24c22d9b77bb4a674c","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/8b0dfd24c22d9b77bb4a674c","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/8b0dfd24c22d9b77bb4a674c","title":"3rd Engineer Full Time","description":"Salary ranging from 30-40 with potential signing bonus depending on the site location and experience.\n\nDuties/Responsibilities:\nPerforms routine maintenance on boiler equipment and systems.\nMaintains low-pressure boilers, high-pressure boilers, power boilers, steam boilers, or hot water heating systems.\nReplaces defective valves, filters, or steam gauges.\nMonitors boiler system to ensure it is operating safely and properly; facilitates periodic boiler cleaning.\nTests boiler water for corrosive deposits and treats the water with chemicals to prevent buildup.\nComplies with all relevant safety regulations and procedures, including the handling and storage of hazardous materials.\nMaintains accurate records of boiler operations, maintenance activities, and inspections.\nAddresses any problems with boiler systems and notifies maintenance when needed.\nMonitors fuel and water levels, as well as pressure and temperature readings, and makes necessary adjustments to ensure safe and efficient boiler operation.\nResponds promptly to emergency situations, such as equipment failures or system malfunctions, and takes appropriate corrective actions.\nContacts supervisor concerning potentially dangerous equipment or safety violations.\nPerforms other related duties as assigned.\nRequired Skills/Abilities:\nExtensive knowledge of industrial boiler operation and maintenance.\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.\nExcellent mechanical skills.\nAbility to follow safety procedures and processes.\nExcellent communication skills.\nFlexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and be on-call if necessary.\n\nEducation & Experience:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required.\nValid state Boiler Engineer 3rd Class license.\nTechnical/vocational school training and experience working with industrial boilers.\n\nPhysical Requirements:\nPhysically able to inspect and repair boilers.\nAble to work in confined spaces.\nMust be able to lift 35 pounds at a time.\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nThis employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
