Acts as a patient advocate. Responsible for meeting surgical standards of nursing practice. Maintains skills in setting priorities and organizing workload effectively. Adapts to changes in assignment and integrates multiple assignments with personnel at various levels. Requires strong communication skills and attention to detail. Possesses a thorough knowledge of sterile technique. Demonstrates a commitment to teamwork and task completion. Develops and implements total nursing care for patients through assessment and nursing diagnosis. Creates patient care plans and provides leadership by collaborating with nursing and other team personnel. Maintains standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. Participates in and implements age-specific care and interaction. Performs comprehensive head-to-toe assessments on all patients and reassessments as per policy. Adequately assesses pain and utilizes appropriate pain management techniques.
