Job Title: EEO InvestigatorLocation: New York, NY 10041Duration: 2+ months of Contract (Possible extensions or FT Conversions)Shift: 9:00 AM–5:30 PMSchedule: 5 days/week, 7.5 hrs/day, 37.5 hrs/weekPay Range: $60 to $65/hr. on W2Schedule Notes:Must be familiar with federal, state, and local anti-discrimination lawsEEO Investigator experience handling workplace discrimination and harassment casesMust be able to report to various healthcare facilities throughout New York City as neededWork Setting: Office of Legal Affairs / Equal OpportunityRequired Skills & Experience4+ years of experience conducting EEO-related investigationsExperience investigating workplace discrimination and harassment complaintsStrong investigative skillsStrong analytical, verbal, and written communication skillsAbility to quickly synthesize information and formulate recommendations considering risks, benefits, and alternative perspectivesStrong people skills with the ability to effectively navigate a large organizational structureAbility to work in a fast-paced healthcare/hospital settingFamiliarity with federal, state, and local anti-discrimination lawsMS Office Suite proficiencyInternal investigation experienceEducationRequiredBachelor’s DegreePreferredJuris Doctor (JD)Job SummaryThrough the supervised efforts of the Office of Legal Affairs, the responsibilities of the EEO Investigator include:Investigating internal complaints of discrimination, including claims of sexual harassment, maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local anti-discrimination lawsProviding an internal avenue of redress through the investigation and resolution of complaints of unlawful employment discrimination and harassmentAssisting with other assignments and special projects as requiredDutiesInvestigate internal complaints of discrimination and harassmentInvestigate sexual harassment complaintsMaintain compliance with federal, state, and local anti-discrimination lawsConduct investigations and resolve complaints of unlawful employment discrimination and harassmentSupport the Office of EEO across various healthcare facilities throughout New York CityAssist with special projects and additional assignments as required
