An “ACES Enrollee” is a participant in a grant program established through a Cooperative Agreement funded by the USDA-NRCS and administered by NEW Solutions.\nThis opportunity applies to applicants legally eligible to work in the United States.\nDuties\nThis position will provide support to the conservation engineering division with technical tools and documentation, as well as training and training development related to Environmental Engineering.\nAssist NRCS in developing conservation engineering division Directives updates, including conservation practice standard updates, National Engineering Handbook updates, and development and maintenance of tools and software associated with NRCS engineering conservation practices. 75%\nAssist the conservation engineering division with providing technical training related to the use of technical directives and engineering methods related to Environmental Engineering about Animal waste management and nutrient management. 15%\nAssist NRCS by providing support and mentoring to NRCS engineering state level staff to enable them to provide needed training and assistance. 10%\nQualifications\nMinimum of 20 year(s) of experience OR BA/BS Degree in Agricultural Engineering or Civil Engineering.\nExperience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint\nFamiliarity with Course Avenue Studio Course development software.\nExcellent communication skills for delivering training sessions and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.\nOther:\nMust complete annual information system security, anti-harassment, and civil rights training as assigned.\nTravel Requirements: Travel to locations as directed by the Primary Monitor for training development and/or delivery.\nOvernight travel: Estimated travel is 3-4 times annually.\nAir travel anticipated: Estimated travel is 3-4 times annually.\nHealth and Safety Considerations: Safety operations of motor vehicle.
