Our multi-year curriculum takes students from the beginnings of computer science to the mastery of software development.\r\nK-12 Summer Camp Coding Instructor Are you looking for a part-time summer job where you get to teach kids to code at a summer camp ? Do you want to make a difference in the lives of children by teaching them this important 21st Century skill? If yes, read on!\r\nSummer camps are scheduled by week throughout the summer and include either a half-day or a full-day teaching option. In-person camps are located in Seattle, WA, Portland, OR, Denver, CO, and Austin, TX . Additionally, you can choose to teach virtually from our list of online camps based on what works best for you.\r\nWho You Are\r\nYou have coding experience (this could be anything from coding in Scratch to programming in Python or Java; our team is full of instructors with diverse backgrounds!)\r\nYou have experience working with children or youth in a classroom or a group setting\r\nYou love working with kids and are excited to teach them new skills!\r\nWhat We Provide\r\nA well-structured and tested curriculum that is detailed for those who want to follow it directly, yet flexible for those who want to tweak and adjust\r\nTraining: Live and self-guided training to prepare you to teach and work with children\r\nA great group of fellow instructors passionate about teaching kids and helping each other\r\nOngoing coaching and support\r\nBoth in-person and online teaching opportunities\r\nThe camps run from the beginning of June to the end of August, which varies depending on the region. Each camp is 5 days long. We request that when you commit to teaching the camp, you commit to working for a minimum of 6 weeks of camp throughout the summer. Our online classes run all year long and you could start teaching these classes before the camps start.\r\nBase compensation: $15-22/hr\r\nCompensation for teaching classes can qualify for additional bonuses related to\r\nCompleting a full in-person camp (up to $100 bonus per week of camp)\r\nStrong student conversions\r\nStrong customer feedback\r\nOperations Director Coding with Kids is on a mission to bring children the highest quality coding education no matter where they are on the planet.
