We invest in strong teams, clear systems, and thoughtful leadership, believing meaningful impact comes from doing the work well, supporting one another, and holding ourselves to high standards across the organization.Job Title:Medication AideReports To:Director of NursingDepartment:NursingLocation:On-site, Dumfries, VAEmployment Type:Full-time | Part-time | Hourly | Non-ExemptJob SummaryMedication Aides provide accurate medication administration and quality care to clients and maintain a safe environment under the direction and supervision of a licensed registered nurse.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepping and administering client specific routine and PRN medications as directed.Verifying the right person, drug, dose, route, and time against the Medication Administration Record (MAR).Documenting interventions, vital signs, or other data related to medication administration.Maintaining confidentiality of clients.Reporting to the supervising nurse with any client issues or concerns.Assisting clients with activities of daily life (ADLs), as needed.Performing all other duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsEducation / CredentialsHigh School Diploma or equivalent.Certified or registered with the Board of Virginia as a Medication Aide.ExperienceMinimum of 6 months of experience in a medication aide role.Mental health and residential substance use disorder program experience preferredKnowledge / SkillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Able to work independently and with a teamWorking ConditionsDirect care positionFull-time, Part-time, 20-30 hours per week, weekdays and/or weekends vary based on shifts available - inquire to learn more, some holidaysFull-time, 7:00am-7:30pmPart-time, 7:00am-7:30pmWhy This Role MattersPre-Employment RequirementsMainspring conducts, as required, job-related background checks, drug testing, TB testing, verification of employment history, and/or reference checks prior to employment.Equal Employment Opportunity StatementMainspring is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
