Analyzes data for students being served or potentially eligible for ALS. Compiles and responds to large confidential and sensitive student information data requests as well as collaborates with various departments and staff to ensure that requirements and procedures are being followed. Solicits, coordinates, processes, and maintains registration, hotel, and travel; as well as regular teacher travel, workshop, and supply expenses. Processes and reconciles purchase orders. Enters and maintains inventory information for the district’s Advanced Learning Services department.\n\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:\n\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAs)\n\nConsiderable knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Google apps; knowledge of Blackboard and PowerSchool applications;\nKnowledge of local and state policies and procedures impacting Academically or Intellectually Gifted (AIG);\nKnowledge of bookkeeping principles and practices;\nKnowledge of inventory management practices;\nExcellent organizational, analytical and proofreading skills with the ability to track potential errors and verify accurate data contained in databases;\nAbility to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form using a variety of communication techniques and tools to ensure the appropriate flow of information, collaborative efforts, and feedback;\nAbility to complete complex tasks and minimize errors with attention to detail\nAbility to work independently and complete tasks in the absence of clear directions;\nAbility to develop and manage budget and inventory records;\nAbility to understand, interpret, and apply specific rules and regulations governing the processing of fiscal documents, maintenance of financial records, and the preparation of fiscal reports;\nAbility to organize and maintain both paper and digital records and files;\nAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school system staff, students, parents, staff members of external funding agencies, and the community.\n\nEDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE\n\nAssociates degree from a regionally accredited college or related field;\nTwo years of Processing Technician experience and database management.\n\nCERTIFICATION AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTS\n\nNone\n\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:\n\nExperience working within a central office environment.\n\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\n\nGathers, creates, analyzes, and coordinates the annual data collection that is provided to the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI).\nDisaggregates data to provide it to school-based leadership, Central Services Staff and the Board of Education.\nMaintains general ledgers and records for all AIG transactions.\nMaintains AIG test material inventory. Assists with ordering and distribution of test materials to and from schools.\nProvides technical support to ALS staff with the collection and management of student data.\nCreates and processes purchase orders and direct pay requests for ALS.\nSolicits, receives, reviews, and prepares registration, hotel and travel documents for processing, payment to vendors and reimbursements.\nCoordinates hotel and travel arrangements for events.\nProcesses and reconciles purchase orders.\nCommunicates with school system personnel and vendors, as needed, to ensure purchases are paid.\nPerforms other related duties, as assigned.\n\nWORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\n\nThis job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate.
