The ideal candidate will perform a variety of clinical and administrative duties while working closely with physicians, nurses, and office staff to ensure quality patient care and smooth clinic operations.Key ResponsibilitiesGreet patients and escort them to exam roomsPrepare patients for examinations and proceduresObtain and document vital signs and patient progress informationAssist physicians during exams and clinical proceduresPrepare trays and supplies for injections and treatmentsAdminister injections and assist with pap smears and other proceduresMaintain exam rooms and clinical areas in a clean and organized mannerAssist with scheduling, chart preparation, filing, and reception dutiesCoordinate insurance authorizations for:Physical therapyMRI and CT imagingSurgical proceduresObtain referrals and referral extensions from primary care providersImplement nursing care activities under the direction of nursing leadershipObserve and report patient responses to treatments and proceduresParticipate in unit operations and patient flow managementUtilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems for documentation and patient care coordinationRequirementsActive LPN license requiredPrevious outpatient or acute care experience preferredExperience with Electronic Medical Records strongly preferredStrong communication and organizational skillsAbility to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced clinical environmentExcellent patient care and customer service skillsPreferred SkillsVital signs and patient intakeInsurance authorization coordinationReferral managementInjection administrationClinical documentationScheduling and front office supportTeam collaboration and patient care assistance
