You’ll receive all the training you need to successfully take on your new role and grow an exciting laboratory sciences career at Pace®.\n\nCandidate will be part of a team that provides Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) support to laboratory R&D operations.\n\nThis is an Evergreen posting please apply if you'd like to be considered for future positions.\n\nCompensation: $22.00 - 28.00 per hour\n\nWhat You’ll Do\n\nMonthly safety surveys (presenting monthly safety focus, enter safety surveys into database, track survey data, and make sure findings are closed out in a timely manner)\n\nInitiate, follow up, and complete incident documentation of all incidents/injuries within a timely manner; complete WIMS investigations, identify root cause(s), and document measures taken to prevent reoccurrence; provide updates to management regarding causal analysis and corrective actions\n\nActively problem solve and troubleshoot waste logistics\n\nVerify Waste Stream Profiles & Waste Inventory are active and accurate\n\nEnsure waste labels are correct and accurate\n\nUnderstand and implement waste storage and handling procedures\n\nAssist in the disposal of hazardous waste and materials as part of laboratory clean outs\n\nHazard Review documentation (including pre- and post- work) and identify processes within a division/area that will need a Hazard Review\n\nParticipate in monthly Tech Forum Lab Safety meetings; communicate EHS updates to committees as needed\n\nProvide respirator fit tests\n\nMachine guarding assessments\n\nLab commissioning support (to include lab EHS readiness, equipment start up, pre-start up safety reviews, technical support for lab moves, and lab exiting for vacated areas)\n\nMaintain active communication with various customer personnel\n\nWhat You’ll Bring\n\nBachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Chemistry, Biology, or related field\n\nEHS (Environmental health and safety) and/or Chemistry experience, 1+ year\n\nOSHA 30 and/or Hazwoper 40, preferred\n\nAbility to identify improvement opportunities, develop plans to close gaps, garner management support for key initiatives, and track improvement initiatives to closure\n\nRisk analysis skills - capable of hazard and risk identification, assessment, and controls; communicate risks and methods to reduce risk\n\nAbility to adapt to changing circumstances and prioritize work effectively\n\nWhat We Promise\n\nComprehensive benefit program, including medical, vision and dental insurance, 401(k) matching and a tuition reimbursement program\n\nOpportunities to build a rewarding career\n\nAn inclusive culture that stands for integrity, innovation and growth\n\nBenefits\nWhen you join Pace®, you commit to work that makes a positive impact on our communities and our world.
