Lead and manage manufacturing capital project consisting of both Lilly and Non-Lilly professionals to safely achieve project objectives from conceptual design through operational verification (cradle to grave cycle).\nFocus on Electrical Infrastructure and Distribution Management: Supervise the construction of the building's electrical systems, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and regulations.\nManage and oversee the construction of the pharmaceutical manufacturing facility, ensuring that all aspects of the project are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.\nChange Order Management: Provide feedback and comments on change orders, ensuring that any modifications are necessary, cost-effective, and do not compromise the project's integrity.\nDeliver projects by managing project scope, schedule and budget while identifying and mitigating risks, all while prioritizing Safety First and Quality Always.\nLead with a disciplined, structured approach to project management based on compliance with Company Policies and Procedures.\nSafety/Environment: Develop and maintain safety and environmental execution plans for projects. Ensure compliance to safety and environmental policies, procedures, and work rules for project personnel, contractors, and subcontractors from conceptual design through operational verification. Be an active member of the site safety team.\nInterface/Communication: Develop and maintain effective communication with the project team, governance teams, business partners and other stakeholders, as the size of the project may dictate. Facilitate issue resolution, anticipate scope changes, and implement safely with quality, speed, and value.\nReviewing project plans and specifications.\nMonitoring contractor performance and ensuring adherence to contractual obligations.\nConducting regular site walkdowns to review quality and progress.\nEnsuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.\nDevelop detailed project plans, including scope, goals, deliverables, resource allocation, timelines, and budgets.\nWork closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure all aspects of the project are aligned and progressing smoothly.\nProvide engineering expertise and technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.\nMaintain documentation of project activities, plans, designs, reports, and updates.\nMonitor project costs, manage budgets, and report on financial status.\nIdentify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.\nEnsure all project activities meet or exceed industry standards, regulations, and company quality guidelines.\nRegularly update stakeholders on project progress, challenges, and changes in scope.\nAddress technical issues and project challenges, providing solutions to keep the project on track.\nBasic Requirements:\nCapital Project Management Experience ~5years in capital project delivery in Pharma or Industrial manufacturing facilities, such as: Bulk API, OSD, sterile products, secondary packaging, devices, and to a lesser extent lab projects.\nBachelor of Science in Engineering or a technical related field (i.e. project management, construction management).\nStrong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and regulations.\nExcellent organizational and communication skills.\nAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.\nStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.\nProject Size: Previous experience on projects or multiple projects > $5MM\nExperience in the following areas: GMP manufacturing, LEAN, automation, construction, construction quality, project controls, the engineering disciplines, safety, scheduling\nThe capacity to achieve results and influence through people.\nProficiency in English and Spanish.\nOSHA 30\nAdditional Preferences:\nProject Management Professional (PMP) certification.\nStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work well as part of a multi-discipline team.\nProven track record of leading internal team members through influence without supervisory relationships.\nDemonstrated willingness to embrace the concept of continuous improvement and be an agent for change.\nOn-Site Presence: Be on-site 4 days a week to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure that all work is being performed according to the project plan.\nAt Validation & Engineering Group, people always come first.
