You will be handed ambiguous, messy problems with little prescription on how to solve them\n\nExecute scrappy analyses on short timelines to get answers quickly, while also owning more scalable solutions that will make Anduril successful in the long term\n\nProject manage across many stakeholders. If you don’t like being the person leading meetings with large groups of people or managing large Slack channels to wrangle stakeholders towards a solution, this may not be the role for you\n\nWork across functions and learn Anduril’s business top-to-bottom. You will interact with Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and more\n\nOwn detailed should cost models end-to-end, from on-the-ground gathering of data, through creating materials, to presenting them to stakeholders\n\nBuild parametric cost models for a variety of products breaking down products into first principles including capability and physics\n\nTying entire product life cycle costs together to forecast product business case viability, opportunities, and risks\n\nCreate novel frameworks for establishing a strong “value engineering” muscle\n\nEstablish transparency into material cost for existing and future Anduril products\n\nBuild financial models that help set material cost targets for different products\n\nWork with the Engineering and Supply Chain teams to develop and implement cost reduction roadmaps\n\nHelp executives think through tradeoffs in product features vs. costs vs. profitability\n\n“Red-Team” engineering plans from a financial / business perspective\n\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS\n\nYou have minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing finance, engineering finance, or value engineering role at a high growth hardware company\n\nYou have a strong understanding of financial and accounting concepts\n\nYou have strong analytical aptitude. You intuitively think about problems in terms of numbers\n\nYou are able to quickly execute analyses in Excel\n\nYou have an ability to quantify complex often ambiguous problems\n\nYou are willing to learn how to use corporate systems (e.g. Salesforce, Coupa, Anaplan) and analytic / dashboarding tools (e.g. Palantir Foundry)\n\nYou are comfortable communicating broadly and having a lot of eyes on your work. This role can at times require comms to large groups and senior leadership\n\nYou enjoy working at a place where no one minds if you leave early one day to go to an appointment or run an errand, but you also don’t mind responding to Slacks in the evening while you’re watching Netflix\n\nMust be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities\n\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\n\nBasic understanding of engineering design within one or more of the following: aerospace, software, maritime, or electronics\n\nUnderstanding of configuration management principles and how to structure Bill of Materials\n\nFamiliarity with defense standards such as MIL-STD-881 and DOD MRA Frameworks\n\nUS Salary Range: $99,000 – $130,000 USD\n\nBenefits\nAt Anduril, we invest in our people.
